Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center's Mobile Mammography Services will be at area county health departments, banks and other locations in May.
The Mobile Mammography can helps provide mammograms to women who may not otherwise have access or be able to afford these life-saving preventive screens. Women who qualify will receive their mammograms free.
The mobile mammography van is available to all women regardless of their financial status. Women with insurance that covers their yearly mammogram are also welcome.
The mobile mammography can is staffed by technologists from Sarah Bush Lincoln Mammography Department and provides digital mammography technology, the same quality services found at the Health Center. All staff members are certifies by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and are further certified in mammography.
Blood tests for cholesterol and glucose screenings will be available at all county health department clinics only, courtesy of WomenConnected.
The can will be at: Mattoon Medical Center on May 1; SBL Charleston Clinic East on May 2; Palm Terrace, Mattoon on May 6; SBL Family Medical Center on May 7; Lake Land College, Mattoon on May 8; Oakland schools on May 12; Eastern Illinois University, Charleston on May 13; and Coles County Health Department, Charleston on May 23.
