The public is invited to a workshop next Tuesday on using essential oils instead of medication to improve health and promote wellness.
Carol Guest, the current Mrs. Utah America, is the guest speaker at the free event, which starts at 7 p.m. at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology

Guest, who has a bachelor’s degree in allied health science and a minor in health and nutrition, has been serving in the medical field for 18 years. She is now educating others on the alternative health choices available and will present information on the benefits of essential oils and how they are changing the health care industry.
Organizers said the workshop will teach participants about how to use the essential oils to kill bacteria and viruses and can be used to address things like allergies, fevers, fibromyalgia, urinary tract infections, depression, weight loss, etc.
Guest is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and passion with others during the presentation.
