This class is designed to aid in the understanding, enjoyment, and production of poetry. Participants will read and critique the works of established poets, as well as write and discuss their own poetic work in a casual, no-pressure workshop setting. The six-week course will provide information on potential avenues for publication, as well as encourage entries into the local Max Ehrmann Poetry Contest. The class will culminate with the opportunity for each participant to share his or her work aloud at a public reading. Fee includes the required text “Poetry Repair Manual”, by Ted Kooser.
